4 Days in the Dolomites are not enough, of course, but still okay to see some of the most wonderful places in this region. Those who follow us on social media, probably know
that we travelled to the Dolomites with a 6-month old baby. The destinations were therefore chosen according to the situation, which means, no big hikes or any adrenaline
activities. However, we do try to visit as many places as possible, so have a look at our itinerary. Maybe it helps you with yours!

This was our 4-day iitinerary in the Dolomites:
Day 1: Corvara in Badia
Day 2: Passo Pordoi
Day 3: Col Pradat
Day 4: Lake Misurina & Lake Landro & Lake Braies (Slept in Grones)
Our base for the first 3 days was the lovely mountain village called Corvara. When arrived, we immediately fell in love with this mountain spot. It’s perfect for young couples and families. If
you decide to spend time in Corvara, you can go for walks along the river or through the town. The mountainous surrounding is so spectacular that it’s even hard to leave the town! It’s a great
base in the Dolomites, for sure! Read further to see where we stayed in Corvara.
In Corvara in Badia we stayed at the lovely
Residence Angelika. It suited our needs – it had a lift to transport the stroller, it is an apartment with cooking facilities, there is a balcony, the apartment is spacious… all great!
The stuff is helpful. There is even a sauna and whirlpool, which we used a lot. A great choice, if you ask me.
The second day in the Dolimites we decided to drive over the Passo Pordoi. And it was so woow! We were impressed by the scenic mountain rage of the Dolomites. The driving itself is beautiful,
however we did some stops for pictures and went for a walk at the top of the pass.
After driving over the Passo Pordoi we continued our way via Passo die Sella, followed by the Passo di Gardena. Amazing guys, we were blown away by the nature!
Caution: Many curves to conquer! 🙂
On day 3 we took the cable car from the village called Colfosco all the way up to the mountain Col Pradat. The cable car cabins were big enough to put the stroller in. Once at the top, we went
for a coffee in the amazing panorama restaurant nearby (make sure to go there too!). Afterwards, we walked all the way down – it’s such a beautiful path, also suitable for a baby stroller – check
out the photos below.
When leaving Corvara to head in the direction of Lake Braies, we had to drive over the Passo di Falzarego. Well, I’m glad it was a “must” as the pass was incredibly picturesque. I highly
recommend taking the same route. Let the photos speak for themselves.
The photo below was taken after driving the Passo di Falzarego and just before arriving to the city. It’s a bench with this great view over the city. When in Cortina, make sure you do a stop and
walk around the city!
As we needed a break from the driving, we decided to take a detour and visit the Lake Misurina. Once there, the weather for worse but it was still okay to do a walk around the lake.
Unfortunately, we didn’t experience the whole spark of this area – if there was clear sky, we would see the famous mountain ranges Tre Cime de Lavarego, Well, next time I guess 🙂
Lake Landro was a big surprise and not really on our bucket list. While driving towards the Lake Braies, we suddenly drove by this lake, which color was jaw-dropping! I said to Jerry: STOOOP!
Look at this! We took some pictures but had to leave quickly due to the rain.
An absolute highlight on this trip was the Lake Braies. I’ve noticed this lake a long long time ago on someone’s travel blog (can’t remember who’s blog it was) and said to
myself, I HAVE to visit this lake as soon as possible. Well, it lasted several years until the day we finally stood at the lakeside and admired its beauty. It is as gorgeous as on all the
photos out there if not more. And what is so special about it? Well, the color of the lake, the mountains and the lovely wooden boat make the scenery jaw-dropping. There is a path around the lake
– we did the circle with our stroller but be aware – there are quite many stairs so conquer. Oh, and an important fact: There are quite many tourists but this shouldn’t stop you from visiting.
Last but not least, we spend the night at the Grones farm in Grones 😉 Recommendable, if you want some quiet wellness time in a remote area. The way up there is quite tricky but
the location itself with its hills is really beautiful.
They have a whirlpool, sauna and a steam bath – even a play room for kids. An amazing place to stay!
