Flight Deals i’m typing this while waiting for a hopper push notification at 3:47am because sleep is for people with money. here’s the real way to set alerts that work, typos and all.
1. Google Flights (free and my daily addiction)
search your route → turn on “track prices” → done. for maximum chaos use the explore map and track “flexible dates”. i got pinged for $237 LAX to bali two days before departure. still not over it.

2. Hopper app (the one that ruins my sleep schedule)
download it. tell it where you wanna go. hit watch trip. it literally texts you “BUY NOW OR CRY LATER”. scored $99 chicago to LA last month. woke up screaming. worth it.
3. Going.com (aka scott’s cheap flights)
free version = decent. premium $49/year = mistake fares in your inbox. caught a $470 round-trip to paris that disappeared in 11 minutes. i was ready.
4. Skyscanner “everywhere” trick Flight Deals
type your city → destination “everywhere” → sort by cheapest → save search. got alerted $89 to austin and booked before my brain turned on.
5. Airfarewatchdog (old school but slaps)
sign up, pick routes, get daily emails. southwest deals show up here first. grabbed $69 one-way denver to vegas last week.

pro strats i swear by Flight Deals
- incognito mode or they jack the price
- track nearby airports (ORD + MDW both)
- set alerts for midweek flights only
- keep passport app open because these deals move FAST
- vpn sometimes tricks regional pricing (don’t @ me)
my recent wins (flexing)
chicago → austin $89 (skyscanner) lax → bali $237 (google flights) nyc → paris $470 (going premium) denver → vegas $69 (airfarewatchdog)
drop what alert you’re setting first because i need new routes to obsess over.
now someone send ambien or a $49 europe fare, either works
