There’s something about Antigua. The softness of the sand. Those tucked-away little coves. The uncrowded beaches. A single day in Antigua can change the way you think about the world, about life. And the island’s newest music hit is rooted in that feeling.
It’s called “Sunny Day,” and it’s the newest release by music legend Causion, a native of Antigua who has been helping to tell the story of Antigua through reggae in recent years.
The new song (and music video), filmed at the island’s Galley Bay Resort and Spa, puts Antigua’s beaches and sunsets at the forefront.
“Sunny Day was inspired by love,” said Causion, who is Antigua’s official Reggae Ambasador and last year was bestowed with the country’s title of Commander of the Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage. “We all need a reason to smile, and Sunny Day will have you dancing on the sand and loving life.”

The project is a collaboration between the artist and Elite Island Resorts, one of the Caribbean’s top resort companies.
The centerpiece is Galley Bay, the five-star, adults-only resort that was named number one all-inclusive in the Caribbean for 2025 and remains one of our all-time favorite places to stay in the region, whether you’re in the property’s secluded, plunge-pool Gauguin Cottages or some of its full-fledged toes-in-the-sand rooms (yes, we mean right on the sand). It was also just named one of the world’s best resorts, as voted by British Airways guests.
But it’s not their first ride together. In 2022, Elite and Causion released “Antigua Me Come From.” The next year, they released “Caribbean Vacation,” another ode to Antigua that topped one million views on YouTube.
“Sunny Day captures the essence of Antigua,” said Larry Basham, Chief Operating Officer of Elite Island Resorts. “The song and video are inspirational and aspirational—in line with our commitment to sharing amazing Caribbean travel experiences by working with iconic local artists like Causion,” he told Caribbean Journal.

It’s all about the essence of Antigua, said Causion, whose formal name is Gregory Colin Bailey and grew up in the English Harbour area of the island.
“Antigua is my sunny day,” he said.
