i tried it. saved $47 on a domestic ticket. forgot and booked the return on friday. paid $62 extra. pain.

book: sunday fly: tuesday, wednesday, or saturday example: chicago → austin $89 round-trip. booked sunday night, flew wednesday.
international flights
book: thursday (sunday works too) fly: tuesday or wednesday example: example: nyc → paris $470. booked thursday, flew tuesday. same search monday showed $680. ouch.
how far ahead Book Flights
domestic: 28–45 days out international: 3–5 months out waited too long for bali once. paid $1,200 instead of $237. still salty.
