Palladium Hotel Group is rebranding one of its most popular resorts in the Riviera Maya: the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort and Spa is getting a new name.
The resort is being rebranded as the Grand Palladium Select White Sand Resort and Spa, Caribbean Journal has learned.
But that’s not all.
The relaunched property will be joining Palladium’s Grand Palladium Select Collection, which are “designed to elevate personalized service and curated experiences for today’s discerning traveler.”

So what is the “Select” Collection? It’s a “collection of hotels that offers guests a premium experience with exclusive benefits, services, and facilities in unique destinations, designed to transform the travel experience,” according to a spokesperson for the property.
So what do you need to know?
The Select Collection was launched last year, and includes the Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres in an area we’ve called the “New Cancun.” It will soon be adding another Caribbean resort: the Grand Palladium Select Bavaro, which is opening at the end of this year.
At “Select Collection” hotels, the entry-level room is actually a junior suite, with extra touches from culinary to entertainment.
Most importantly, the resort is also getting a makeover, with a $6 million renovation that is beginning the first of June.
More Riviera Maya Upgrades
The resort’s Junior Suites will include added amenities like a Pool Concierge for poolside comfort, an in-room minibar replenished daily, and access to a premium bar featuring a curated drink list. Guests also have 12-hour room service and full access to the restaurants, bars, and entertainment offerings across all Grand Palladium properties within the complex.
There is also a new culinary program: at White Sand, you’ll be able to choose from Italian at Portofino, Asian dishes at Bamboo, Brazilian cuisine at Bahía e Brasa, and oceanfront dining at Poseidón. Buffet options with show cooking are available at La Dalia and La Laguna.
New food and beverage additions include Piaccere Coffee Shop, offering specialty brews and snacks; Grand Gelateria, modeled after traditional Italian ice cream parlors; and The Pizza Stop, serving fresh pizzas throughout the day.
Guests staying at White Sand also have access to select restaurants at nearby sister resorts, including El Dorado, La Adelita and the Japanese-inspired Sumptuori, at Grand Palladium Colonial, as well as La Paisana at Grand Palladium Kantenah.
The bar offerings now include dedicated cocktail venues across the resort, along with the Habits Healthy Bar located inside the Zentropia spa, which offers smoothies and light snacks geared toward wellness-focused guests.
The official opening date of the rebranded hotel is Jan 1, 2026.
Prices haven’t been released yet. You can stay for the rest of May for around $327 per night, but that will likely go up next January.
We’ve liked many of Palladium’s other Caribbean resorts, including the TRS Coral in Cap Cana on a recent stay.
